OUR ROOTS
Think. Reason. Question. Experiment. These are just a few of the skills and qualities that children will develop at Newberry Child Development Center. Since our founding, we’ve focused on supporting kids during all transitions throughout childhood starting from infants thru toddlers and all pre school years.
All activities are designed to adequately nurture the emotional and intellectual growth of our kids. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, young children are free to develop into bright young minds. Reach out to learn more, and enroll with us today!
OUR PROGRAMS
The educational programs at Newberry Child Development Center were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.
INFANT PROGRAM
Infants at Newberry CDC have the best care. They are pampered by our teachers and monitored constantly for diaper changes and mealtimes. They sleep like a baby and are read books and listen to music for their cognitive development.
TODDLER PROGRAM
Toddlers at Newberry CDC are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. Their days are filled with music, art, dance, story times and more. Toddler ratios are maintained at 1 teacher per 6 toddlers.
TWO YEAR OLD PROGRAM
Two Year old children's classroom at Newberry CDC follows a curriculum that helps them recognize their colors, numbers and shapes. Our qualified teachers read to them and teach with play and music surrounding them.
THREE YEAR OLD PROGRAM
3 year old children at Newberry CDC have the best care. They are pampered by our teachers. The curriculum in this classroom helps them develop language and cognitive skills, along with their physical and social development. They sleep like a baby and are read books and listen to music for their cognitive development.
SC FIRST STEPS 4K
South Carolina’s Child Early Reading Development and Education Program (CERDEP) program is designed to expand full-day 4-year-old kindergarten program. Newberry CDC is proud to be the only Level A+ school in the district, for your 4 year old child.
EARLY HEAD START
Early Head Start is the free, early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support program for low-income families with children from birth to age three. Services are provided on a year round basis to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of infants and toddlers and pregnant women. Parents’ efforts to fulfill their parental roles and move towards self-sufficiency is supported by the Early Head Start’s program design.
